Good price for Uniseals
Purchased in July 2013. Good price compared to other sites. Arrived quickly and in good shape. Used in aquaria designed for scientific research. Others at the lab where I work have expressed similar satisfaction with these products.

Works as advertised
Bulkhead fittings were going to be a bit expensive. I read that these were a great alternative so I gave them a try. Thinness of my 3 gallon bucket wall made installation difficult without even counter pressure from inside the bucket. I made a small tool for this purpose and all went well. No leaks to date and at a much lower price.

The Uniseal products are GREAT! The are designed to allow as reusable bulkhead penetration with only a bored hole for access. Snap the Uniseal into place, wet the piece of pipe and slide it into place for a water tight seal. And the pipe can be repositioned as needed. Great product and great quality.

As adertised
The Uniseal was shipped quickly and performed exactly like it should. Easy to install... even for a pregnant mother of four. I used it for an ebb and flow valve on a hydroponics system.

Bought these to use with 5-gallon buckets and 1/2" PVC plumbing as part of a small-scale hydroponics project. The Uniseals themselves were in good shape when I received them, the rubber is nice and not dried out or cracked at all. An issue I had with trying to use them with the 5-gallon buckets is that the wall thickness on the buckets seems to be on the lower end of what works with these seals, especially with the 1-1/4" recommended hole to insert them into. I ended up trying a 1-1/8" hole, but that seems too tight, though it definitely didn't leak. The Uniseal will go into the 1-1/8" hole, but the plastic of the bucket became distorted from the extra pressure. A 1-3/16" might be a better fit, but I haven't had the chance to try.

I used these instead of grommets in a dutch bucket system ...they are so much stronger and more reliable than the grommets..very glad to be using them I even bought more...for future buckets.

These seals are wonderful as long as the pressure is low and the tank material thick enough. I have used them (1/2") in HDPE buckets even, but they are touchy with the thin wall. If you have a leak, just remove the seal and dry the location, then add a bead of hot glue around the inside of the seal and squish it all back into place and quickly add (if you can) a pipe to tighten things up or hand press it until the glue hardens.
