Nice cost effective way to DIY things
Bought these for use in a custom rainwater filtration system, and they are working very well, no leaks. I couldn't find a 5 hole saw, so I ended up tracing a 5 hole, cutting it with a jigsaw...and no leaks. I'm happy with the purchase, and happy with the result.

This is a great product at a great price. They are easy to install, very good seal, and much neater than a bulk head.

Simple and inexpensive, but highly effective, solution to the problem of sealing a 4 inch PVC pipe penetration through the side wall of a 55 gallon drum. The horizontal wall curve discouraged the use of a bulkhead seal; however, this solution was a natural. I will reorder soon.

Great Product
Got the seals I order much quicker than I thought I would and they worked great. A couple of bits of advice to make it easier would be to heat up the seal (heat gun, etc) before you install the pipe and to put grease on the pipe. I tried soap at first and ruined a seal trying to get the pipe in. Then I used vegetable shorting and just cleaned it off after, worked like a charm.

Q:
What is the difference between the U400 and SDR35 U400?
Asked by:
Mark
- 3/24/2014
A:
The outside diameter of the 4" pipe. Standard Schedule 40 4" pipe has a thicker wall making the outer diameter of the pipe larger then a 4" DWV pipe also commonly know as Schedule 35 pipe.
